Security

The Community Warmth team sends all householders a letter of introduction and an information pack before making any house calls. We advise the police and other local agencies of our plans to visit each area, in advance. Our Assessors wear a distinctive red Community Warmth uniform and carry an identity badge showing their photograph and the Community Warmth contact telephone number. We encourage householders to request sight of the identity badge before taking part in the assessment and to call us if they have any concerns. All our home visit staff have passed a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) security check before they are allowed to make house calls. Community Warmth will hold householder information in confidence for use within the scheme and complies with Data Protection Act 1998 requirements and guidelines.
