ECO Eligibility
ECO4 Criteria
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.
To qualify for ECO funding, you must be a homeowner or private renter (you will need your landlord’s agreement for any work to be completed) and meet the necessary eligibility criteria.
The criteria vary slightly from local authority to local authority, however, they, broadly, include a combination of:
· Your home having a low EPC rating
· Your household having a low annual income
· Someone in the household having a health condition, or being of an age that puts them at greater risk of the effects of living in a cold home
· Someone in the household claiming a welfare benefit.
You do not need to meet all these criteria but if you meet some of them you may be eligible for the funding
