Warm Wales is celebrating three years of successful engagement with the Social Return on Investment (SROI) programme, demonstrating the significant value its Advice Service continues to deliver to communities across North Wales.
Through the use of the Impact Social Return on Investment (SROI) tool, provided by Flintshire County Council as part of the Flintshire Social Enterprise Partnership, Warm Wales has been able to quantify and evidence the social, economic, health and environmental benefits generated by its advice service. The innovative tool enables social enterprises to measure their impact in monetary terms, demonstrating value to funders, stakeholders and local communities.
Over the past three years, the Warm Wales Advice Service has generated an audited social value of £1,530,137, highlighting the far-reaching benefits of supporting households with energy advice, fuel poverty interventions and practical guidance to improve home warmth and energy efficiency.
The most recent audited figures, covering the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, revealed an exceptional social value of £785,451, representing the highest annual impact to date.
Warm Wales’ Advice Service empowers individuals and families with knowledge and practical support to:
- Reduce household energy costs
- Optimise energy usage
- Explore alternative energy-saving solutions
- Improve home energy efficiency
- Stay warm and healthy throughout the year
By helping residents better understand and manage their energy needs, the service contributes to increased financial resilience, reduced fuel poverty and improved health and wellbeing among vulnerable households. The environmental benefits are equally significant, with reduced energy consumption helping to lower carbon emissions and support more sustainable communities across North Wales.
