Response from Joanna Seymour, Partnerships Director, Warm Wales:
We are delighted to see the Healthy Homes Healthy People programme featured as a case study in this pivotal report from Public Health Wales. The inclusion of our work is not only an honour, but a clear recognition of how cross-sector collaboration can meaningfully impact the lives of vulnerable households across Wales.
This report reflects an essential shift in thinking—acknowledging that health begins at home. Poor housing conditions, fuel poverty and instability continue to affect far too many families, and the future-focused approach outlined here offers a vital blueprint for action.
At Warm Wales, we’ve seen first-hand the difference holistic interventions can make—combining energy efficiency upgrades with health and wellbeing support to create homes that are not just habitable, but nurturing. We thank Public Health Wales for spotlighting this work, and we look forward to continuing this journey alongside our partners to realise the shared vision of a Wales where every child and family has access to a safe, secure and healthy home.
